Birthdays are important milestones for young children. However, many of our children come from families that do not have the resources to buy non-essential items. The Brighter Birthday Club is a great way to make a child feel celebrated on their birthday. Once you are matched with a Childhaven child, you’ll receive information that includes your child’s birthday, wish list, clothing and shoe sizes, and a brief description from the teacher about the child and his/her favorite activities. Donors typically purchase two outfits with shoes, socks, etc. and two or three toys, including games, books and puzzles. They also have the option of buying supplies (cake mix, balloons, etc.) for a classroom party. Donors can sponsor one or multiple children each year or a child each month.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION
Every child feels better about doing something new if they are equipped to do so. You can help children take a step in the right direction as they graduate from Childhaven and enter Kindergarten. Donors provide a graduating child with a backpack filled with school supplies, an outfit including shoes and socks, a toy, book or game and a grocery gift card for the child's family. HOLIDAY ADOPT-A-FAMILY/GIVING TREE
Our holiday Adopt-a-Family program allows groups of family, friends and colleagues the opportunity to purchase gifts from a wish list to make the holidays a little brighter for a family in need. Family wish lists will be available in mid-November and we have several families of all sizes who need to be adopted for the holidays. Family wish lists usually include household items, toys and clothing.
