Did you know?

An investment in healing a child today can save lives—and taxpayer dollars—tomorrow. According to the national nonprofit Prevent Child Abuse America, for every $1 spent on preventing and breaking the cycle of abuse, more than $320 is spent to deal with the after-effects of child abuse and neglect—criminal justice, health care, social services, foster care and more.

Drug Affected Infant Program

Therapeutic and developmental child care is provided for infants and preschoolers to overcome residual effects of parents’ prior substance abuse either in-utero or environmentally.

Parents must be enrolled in an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program for their child to receive services at Childhaven. Monthly home visits and treatment plans are part of the service.

For treatment providers, if you are interested in referring one of your outpatient clients' child(ren) to Childhaven for the Drug Affected Infant Program, please contact Vicki Nino Osby, Senior VP, Program Operations, to see if your treatment center is a contracted provider at 206.624.6477.

If you are a parent currently enrolled at a contracted outpatient treatment center and are interested in having your child(ren) enrolled in the Drug Affected Infant Program at Childhaven, please notify your treatment counselor. All referrals for the Drug Affected Infant Program need to come through your treatment counselor.
