Even in the most challenging of times, Dawn Griffey Petricciani has the privilege of seeing generosity in action.

“It’s amazing what people can do when they care about making a difference in the life of a child,” she says.  “The size of the gift is not the point. It’s the transformational power that giving has. Giving feels good, and I’m lucky to be a part of that process for our donors.”

As Vice President of Leadership Gifts, Dawn helps secure the financial resources necessary for Childhaven to meet its mission of breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect.

Before coming to Childhaven in 2008, Dawn was the Director of Major Gifts at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. She also spent two years as Executive Program Manager at Team Survivor Northwest. She earned her Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Affairs in 2002.

Since coming to Childhaven, she has enjoyed connecting donors and potential supporters with opportunities to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children and families.

“Being a fundraiser, I can only raise money for organizations that I feel play an integral and essential role in the health of our communities,” she says. “I know that what we do here every day changes lives.”
